                                           When democracy does not work
By Moschos Emmanuel Lagouvardos

Folks ask them why they trust in their democracy. When democracy does not work who nevertheless still exercise power, not only individuals.
In a democracy, those who hold public office like the servants of the parable: pay multiples of what they received. For them, the sufficient grace reached such high office. Not hold the offices vain.
The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Corinthians lists what caught working for others. Do not, brethren, to please, not to receive the grace of God in vain. The subject of the Apostle is the verse of David says that God will give strength to his people.
The Lord is talking about infidelity those given in vain the gifts of God, told the parable of the servant infidelity, and when the time came to give reason did not use the gift to benefit others and not only did not repent for his infidelity but over and accused his master gave him the gift.
In all democratic powers emanate from the people. All legislative, judicial and administrative acts shall be issued and enforced by the relevant organs of the state, in the name of the people, which is the coordinated set of all people, except those who lost their citizenship in the cases stipulated by law. Where democracy does not work, loss of citizenship is universal.
When democracy does not work nor the people are the source of all powers, neither the legislative, judicial and administrative institutions and their actions have legal status, nor citizens are true citizens with rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
With a reason when democracy does not work there is legitimacy, but general arbitrariness. Government officers do not act only for themselves when applying their acts by coercion commit the offense of unlawful violence.
The conclusion, if the above applies, is this: When democracy does not work
First, the state is not legitimate and exerts power by predatory law.
Second, the direct and indirect instruments of state and their actions are unfounded and do not bind anyone.
Third, the exercise of power by predatory law disturbs or removes completely citizenship.
Fourth, citizens can seek judicial protection to stop the disturbance of citizenship and the degradation of their personalities.
Fifthly, the courts, even when not working democracy protects citizens from arbitrary acts of power.
Sixthly, the judge, when democracy does not work, interpret the law in accordance with the principles of the Greek people.
Seventh, as the non-functioning of democracy and the existence of the predatory state is known to all, citizens resorting to the courts, to protect him from arbitrary and unlawful acts of the state, not need evidence and claim that is challenged citizenship and the rights that flow from it is self-evident.
Conclusion: When democracy is not working citizens can resort to the courts and seek
1) to recognize the utter disruption or removal of citizenship from the state,
2) to require the State and its organs to cease any future disruption of citizenship
and 3) to require the disruption of responsible citizenship and degradation of personality in a similar compensation.
The judge can, based on the principles of culture to curb the power hampers the functioning of democracy.
